About Us
Our Story
As an Early Intervention Specialist for almost a decade, founder Stella Samandar's unique position allowed her to work with children while they were under the supervision of childcare facilities. Observing over multiple facilities per day, year after year, she noticed that facilities which were highly ranked among parents, were in fact performing far below par standards. As a result, the founder of Stellar Tots Academy yearned for more.
At Stellar Tots Academy, we’re proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your children. By following our mission, vision and values, we create a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all children. We provide our students with the tools they need for future happiness and success. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interests in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.
Founder, owner and operator of Stellar Tots Academy is not only a wife and mother of three children but also holds multiple degrees in Education. Holding a Masters degree, certified to teach in General and Special Education from Birth to 7th Grade.

At Stellar Tots, we are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children are honored for who they are. Our mission is to foster creativity, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning through a thoughtful balance of play and purposeful rhythm.
Rooted in Waldorf-inspired and nature-based principles, our approach allows children to fully experience the wonder of childhood. Through open-ended play, hands-on exploration, and connection to the natural world, children develop vital skills in a developmentally appropriate way—building strong foundations in social-emotional intelligence, sensory integration, cognitive development, language, and physical coordination.
We believe that children thrive when they are given the time and space to grow at their own pace, with loving guidance and meaningful routines. Our goal is to cultivate a sense of belonging, wonder, and joy in every child, preparing them not just for school—but for life.
Nutrition & Health
At Stellar Tots, we take great pride in the quality and care we put into every aspect of our nursery and preschool environment—starting with what we nourish our children with each day. Our daily offerings include a wholesome breakfast, lunch, and two snacks, all freshly prepared with love. We prioritize using mostly organic and locally sourced ingredients to support both growing bodies and our local community.
We believe that what children eat, drink, and breathe directly affects their ability to thrive. That’s why we go the extra mile: all water is purified through a high-quality filtration system, and our air is cleaned continuously using medical-grade air purifiers. These practices help create an environment where children can grow to their fullest potential—healthy from the inside out.
Beyond nutrition and air quality, we are also deeply mindful of the overall health of our learning environment. All cleaning products used in our program are non-toxic, plant-based, and whenever possible, certified organic. This commitment ensures that every surface little hands touch is safe, and that the space where they learn and play is truly clean—not just sanitized, but wholesome.
